For sixteen years, I stood behind the counter at Boots.

Here’s what most people don’t know about the job: staff test everything. For free.

Every foundation. Every concealer. Every primer. If it launched, it was on my face that same week.

There isn’t a product on those shelves I haven’t worn.

And I have had the deepest fine lines ever since I turned 40.

So every new launch went straight on them. The £20 ones and the £150 ones.

Twelve years of testing everything, free.  Every single one settled into them.

Then, this year, something completely new arrived at the counter. And it doesn't even have a shade to choose from.

But before I tell you what it is, let me ask you something.

Does This Sound Familiar?

You feel younger than you look.

Because your foundation ages you. More than it should.

And nothing ages it like your foundation sitting in your lines.

I know exactly how that feels. I stood under Boots lighting eight hours a day, surrounded by every foundation sold in Britain — looking ten years older than I felt.

"Women asked me every day what would stop it creeping into their lines. The honest answer was nothing on those shelves. I knew — because I’d tested it all, on my own."

Let me show you why nothing worked.

Why Foundation settling in Your Lines Ages You More Than Anything Else

This part is simple.

Fine Lines age you. Nobody decides it. It’s just how humans read age — wrinkles first, automatically.

•  It doesn't matter how good your skin is.

•  It doesn't matter what the bottle costs.

•  If it gathers in the lines, older is all anyone sees.

And harsh light makes it crueller. Shop mirrors. Office lighting. Phone cameras. I worked under the cruellest light there is.

So now you're probably wondering…

Can't You Just Buy One That Doesn't Do It?

For most of my career, the answer was no.

And I'm not guessing — I tested all of it, for sixteen years, on my own face.

For most of my career, the answer was no.

And I'm not guessing. I tested all of it — for sixteen years, on my own face.

Regular foundations? The pigments are too big to go anywhere, so they clump together and sit on the surface. You're building a wall on your face— and by two in the afternoon that wall has cracked into your lines.

Matte formulas? Estée Lauder Double Wear, and everything like it. Matte works by putting powders in to soak up oil. Mature skin isn't oily, it's dry — so those powders cling to every dry patch and settles into every line. That isn't a bad foundation. That's just what matte does.

Primer? It's silicone. It creates a film over the surface and caves into your lines within the first hour. Your face folds exactly where that line is, and silicone doesn't fold, it creases up. You didn't fix your foundation. You built it on something that creases.

And the worst thing? The beauty industry knows all of this.

Every foundation in the UK is built with fixed pigments, mixed to one shade in a factory. They oxidise, they crease — and then the same brands sell you the skincare to fix the damage.

You buy the foundation that ages you, then you buy the cream to undo it. And they've made billions of this trick.

Because every product that doesn't work just sends you looking for another one. And another.

The second you find something that actually works, they stop making money.

That's why, in twelve years of launches, not one product was ever built to actually match your shade and cover your lines. It's exactly the way they wanted it.

Then, this year, a delivery arrived that broke the rule.

Not a Mature Formula. Not a Primer. Not another Marketing Gimmick.

A completely new product category: a Colour Adaptive Foundation.

It goes on completely white, then reads your skin and becomes your exact shade in about a minute. So you never guess your shade.

In twelve years of testing everything, I had never seen anything like it.

I had a tube in my bag before we’d even put it on the shelf. £26.

That night, I stood in my bathroom and did half of my face with it

What Makes the Colour Adaptive Foundation Different

Everything else I ever tested stays on top of your face.

British Foundations sits on top and covers. Powder sits on top and sets. Primer sits underneath, and then slides off.

Not one of them touches the two things that actually age you: a colour that was never yours, and a layer thick enough to fall into a line.

The Colour Adaptive Foundation is the only one I've worn that doesn't do either.

It comes out of the tube white, because there's no shade mixed into it. What's in there instead is millions of pH-adaptive microbeads. You blend, and over about thirty seconds each bead reads your skin chemistry — and releases pigment progressively and carries on adjusting as your skin shifts through the day.

It's also skincare infused, Surgical-grade hyaluronic acid plumps your skin from below, so a line flatten by the day instead of getting deeper, The layer itself stays lightweight and breathable  — enough to bridge a deep line and cover it instead of settling in it.

It doesn't guess your shade. It becomes it.

It doesn't settle into your lines. It covers them.

I  watched lines I'd been powdering over for sixteen years completely fade away.

And once it’s set, there’s nothing to find. No creases. No cake. Nothing you could point at and say “she’s wearing something.”

"Sixteen years of free foundation. The first tube that ever stayed out of my lines, I would have paid anything for."

3 Things That Set This Tube Apart

1. Millions of pH-reactive micro-pigments.

Revolutionary Korean Adaptive Technology, beautifully packed into one small tube.  The cream comes out of the tube white, because there is no shade mixed into it. The pigments are pH-reactive: the moment they meet your face they read your skin's chemistry, its pH and its warmth — and release pigment proportionally to match your exact shade and cover deep lines.

2. Plumps fine lines from the inside

The formula is infused Surgical-grade skincare. Hyaluronic acid pulls water into the skin and plumps it from underneath, so fine lines blur and your tone evens out.Centella Asiatica settles redness, uneven tone and hydrates. Wear it all day and your skin gets better each day, not worse.

3. Stays put all day

One application holds for sixteen hours — through anything. Sweat, rain, a warm room, a full working day. It doesn't oxidise, so the colour you set at eight in the morning is the colour you take off at ten at night.

“As a dermatologist, women come to me convinced their lines have deepened. Very often the lines are unchanged, and what has changed is what is sitting in them. A thin base that adapts to the wearer removes that problem instead of covering it. I keep one in the clinic.”

— Dr. Rowan Ashby, Dermatologist

My First Week With It — Morning by Morning

Morning 1: Half a face, in my own bathroom, before an early shift. Ninety seconds. One side had every line I own picked out in beige. The other side had the same lines with nothing sitting in them. I stood there comparing the two halves of my own face for a full minute, which is not something I do. Then I did the rest of it.

Morning 2: Both sides, then a full shift on the shop floor. Our lighting shows every flaw on a face — it's why I'd stopped wearing base on late shifts. Sixteen hours later, nothing had moved.

“It adapts to the wearer instead of asking the wearer to adapt to it, and because the layer is that thin it never collects in a line. That's what most patients are actually asking me for when they come in asking about filler.”

— Dr. Sarah Nandra, Aesthetic Doctor

Morning 4: The hottest day of the year and the shop's air conditioning packed in. I checked at four, the hour it always used to go wrong. Still nothing in my smile lines. Nothing had slid.

Morning 5: A woman I've worked beside for eleven years stopped mid-sentence and asked what I'd had done. She meant it — she thought I'd been to somebody.

Morning 7: I opened the drawer under my sink. Sixteen years of free foundation staring back at me. The Estée Lauder. The Charlotte Tilbury. The No7 I recommended to half the women in this town. Hundreds of pounds' worth — and not one of them ever stayed out of my lines. I binned the lot.

I tested foundation free for sixteen years. The one that finally stayed out of my lines cost thirty pounds.

People keep telling me how well I'm looking lately. Not one of them can say what's changed. Genuinely surprised.

It always ended up in my lines by lunchtime. It was hard to believe this would be any different to the others I've tried. It is.

My daughter and I have been searching for YEARS for something that doesn't sit in your creases. Koko is it.

I've wasted so much money on foundations that aged me by the afternoon. This is different. My friends keep asking.

So Should You Try It?

In sixteen years of testing everything free, this is the only foundation that ever stayed out of my lines all day, matched my own colour, and was still right in July when I'd caught the sun.

It's £30. It comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. You can test it on half your face, in your own mirror, exactly like I did — with no risk.

WARNING: women almost always come back for more once they try one. They buy a tube for themselves and end up ordering for their mum and their sisters. Stock moves fast because of that. If it's available when you check, grab at least two.
